Ashley joined a performing group. She auditioned and was able to join. She is learning to sing and dance. She is actually pretty natural on stage. I guess all the dancing around the house has paid off.
It helps that her bud Kelsey is a part of the group. Two peas in a pod on stage having fun.

Ashley finished up her third year of soccer. She loves it. We had many of the same players from last year and the same coach, which made for a even better year.

Ashley loved Coach Carol. There is a slight chance we could get her again, which we would love! She taught Ashley so much and truly loved her girls. Ashley also grew a lot this year playing really well. She has decided that she wants to continue to play more and more.

{glitter toes}
We had a little party to celebrate Megan and Garian's birthday.
We did our toes. But not just with nail polish, but with glitter as well.
We started off with a little bath soak....
Then painted our toes with nail polish...
Then while the polish is wet, sprinkle glitter on the paint...
Wait a few minutes for the paint to dry then shake off the excess glitter...

We were all so happy to have beautiful toes and a fun night together.

{Conference Weekend}
We decided to start a new family tradition, we someone turns eight they get to go to Conference. Chris or I hadn't been since college, mainly because of work. So this was a fun weekend for us. We were able to make it to Gardener's Village for Witchapalooza. So darling!
They had so many things for the girls to do. Ellie had to take a break to get some lippy.

Of course it worked out that we could make it to a BYU game.

I, of course, didn't get any pictures of us at conference. We had great seats and Ashley was able to sit close enough to see President Monson and 11 of the 12 Apostles. I hope that she remembers the spirit that was there and what a special experience we had.
For a quick trip, we did so much. We got to visit with friends and do some fun things with our family. We'll get to do it all again in 3 years. I can't wait.
{eight is great}
We celebrated Ashley's decision to be baptized over her 8th birthday. When we were in Utah, we had some pictures taken of her in baptism dress. Thanks to Brook for the wonderful idea! This one with her walking toward the light was on the cover of the program.

It was a special day for our family. I love you Ashley so much and are so proud of your important decision to be baptized. It will always be one of the most
important days in our family.
{first day of school}
Again....I lost the pictures from this day. Thanks to Shelby who had a few of Ashley and her buds. This is a crazy year for us. Ashley is in 3rd grade and Leah started Kindergarten. Chris is teaching Seminary which is interesting to say the least.
But it is good to be back on a normal schedule.
Here is to a great year at school.
